so i never really thought about how much i'm telling the kids we have to be careful how we spend our money! it has to be on clearance for us to buy it! well, cameron's been asking for a robe lately, and he saw one in children's place the other day! i watched him out of the corner of my eye, as he picked up the robe he liked, and carried it over to the counter.
cameron - "um, is this on sale?"
saleslady - "no, that's not on sale."
cameron, dejected - "oh, I can't get it yet."
Not another word was uttered on the robe subject! usually cameron wants to know why, and then why on why, and so on . . . but the 'on sale' issue was cut and dry for him. hehe! and just so you know that i'm not a stingy little mama, he will get a robe this fall! when it goes on sale, of course ;)

By the way, your children are adorable! And you don't look a day older than the last time I saw you...not fair!
You are so wise Beka. Did you get that from the old tightwad herself? Remember when you wanted something, you went to Dad because you knew you would get it from him and I always had a reason we couldn't afford it? What goes around comes around! Love you.
i knew dad would always cave for his little girls ... hehe! remember the jelly shoes?? you said no, and i brought them to dad, with teary eyes, and he said YES! :)
So smart! We don't do any shopping except for groceries & clearance.. the best way to shop :)
