your story
claire has been asking lately for stories about how tim and i met, nani and poppi, grammy and grampy, and oma and opa - i must admit, my versions are a little fuzzy! so, just to make this blog a little interactive - tell me YOUR story in a nutshell! i'd love to hear it, and share it with claire.

Nani & Poppi met as teenagers in a Lutheran youth group. We dated for 4 years and then got married in Flushing, New York on June 5,1965.
Opa and Oma met while Opa was in the service and they were at a dinner dance. He says that when he saw Oma, he knew she was the one he was going to marry. He asked her to dance and then she didn't dance with anyone else. They married March 8, 1941.
You can little miss Claire, that her mommy set Uncle Dan and Erica up! hehe. :) And it was love at first...email. hehe. :)
Uncle Darrell and Aunt Suzie met at church. Suzie baked Darrell some cookies and he fell in love with her. He asked her to marry him at the july 4th fireworks. They got married on Aug. 3, 1991 and your mommy was my bridesmaid, even though she was only 13. hahahaha.
and they drove off in a puff of smoke, in that old, silver subaru. hehe.
