what a girl!

It has been so cold here! We have been around 10-15 degrees below the norm for the past couple of weeks. Let me just say how discouraging that is when you have so many cute summer clothes just waiting to be worn in the closet! The other day I smashed my toes on one of the kid's step stools, and yes it hurt, but it was ok after a few minutes. Well, of course once you hit your toes on something, you can just about bet that those same toes are going to get hit again soon - and it happened. I had just got done chasing our dog around the yard to get him back in the house, and after I finally caught him, I was coming up the steps (pretty fast since I was upset at the dog), there I go, banging the same toes against the stoop. Arrgh! It hurt so bad, I just hopped around, and tried to get upstairs before I started saying things that I shouldn't! Poor Clairely tried to ask what was wrong, but I couldn't talk - a few minutes later, she peeked in my room and tossed a little white envelope in. Inside was the sweetest little note I've ever gotten (and she gives me a LOT!). She said,

Who cares about a banged toe??? I love my little girl! She has one of the sweetest, most generous hearts - she loves like a champion. She is my baby.
