claire found this sweet little turtle outside in our driveway this afternoon! isn't he beautiful? from what i've read, he's an eastern box turtle, one of the only kinds of land turtles there are - they live in moist woodlands, and usually come out after there's been rain, or early in the morning. we snapped a few pics of our little visitor.
